This is the PathUtil project ("pathutil"), a Unix command-line tool for modifying filenames and paths. Add suffixes, extract filename extensions and more!
Despite PathUtil's relative youth, it already sports a large number of useful and powerful functions that can be easily used from other programs. If you need to make a program that must something like
PathUtil has been tested on Ubuntu Linux 9.04, but should be able to run on any other flavor of Linux or Unix, including Mac OS X. Java is nice. :)
PathUtil is licensed under GPL version 3 and is free!
